SALT LAKE CITY — A man robbed a restaurant at closing time while brandishing a knife Friday, police said.
The man entered the Blue Nile Ethiopian restaurant at 755 S. State Street at 9:49 p.m. and approached a woman who was working there, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department.
She told him the restaurant was closed, but he brandished a folding knife and demanded that she give him all of the money from the restaurant, police said.
After the woman back away, the man grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and left, police said.
Investigators described the man as being a white male in his 30s who is about 6-feet tall and of a medium build. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
