Medication Management System

medication management system, Pharmacy TouchT, a modular add-on to
Anesthesia TouchT. Pharmacy Touch eliminates duplicate documentation,
reduces drug errors, and delivers narcotic tracking, charge capture,
and decision support at the point of care, utilizing its bar coding
system with imbedded tracking numbers. The closed-loop audit trail for
controlled substances begins and ends in the pharmacy of the hospital
or outpatient facility.

When anesthesia is ready to deliver the medication to the patient, a
quick wave of the labeled syringe past the barcode scanner triggers
documentation in Anesthesia Touch, including real-time safety checks
and automated pharmacy charging. Simultaneously, the medication
dispense transaction is recorded, seamlessly updating Pharmacy's
inventory counts and controlled substance tracking. The medication
management solution also offers secure in-room narcotic storage that
integrates with Anesthesia Touch and the Capsa Solutions' Anesthesia
Cart.
