Tom Callan reporting Even with a slumping economy, Americans are expected to spend just as much this Easter as last year.
The National Retail Federation says most of us will spend about $135 on Easter. For some, it is all about the dinner. "Just the ham, that's about it," one woman said.
For others, it's indulging their own sweet tooth. "Cadbury Eggs, just always the Cadbury Eggs," a man said.
Another woman said she spends her money on "eggs and candy and cookies for the kids."
But does anyone fool the kids with real eggs? "Real eggs? Well, we still have deviled eggs, so we have real eggs, too," the woman said.
Many of us will spend about $18 on candy.
