LAS VEGAS (AP) — Nevada gas prices are on the rise as more motorists are hitting the road.
AAA reports the average price per gallon for regular unleaded fuel is $3.50. That's up 17 cents from a month ago, although it's still down from the same time last year when it was $3.83.
The best prices are in Las Vegas and North Las Vegas, where the average price per gallon is $3.42. Reno drivers have the most expensive gas, at $3.75 per gallon.
The national average price is $3.49 per gallon.
AAA says gas prices are following their usual trend of rising in the spring and heading toward a peak in the summer. Prices are expected to rise in the next month due to seasonal refinery maintenance and a mandatory switch to summer-blend gasoline.
