providing access to quality vision care and eyewear in underserved
communities
SALT LAKE CITY, March 11, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- "Exam week" takes on
new meaning for 100+ local students who will receive free eye exams
and new glasses onboard OneSight's Vision Van when it parks at two
schools in Salt Lake CityMarch 11-13. The clinic marks the launch of a
new partnership between Salt Lake City- based glasses.com and
OneSight, a global vision care nonprofit that has helped 8.5 million
people since 1988 including 1 million students in the United States.
Pre-screened students from the Salt Lake City School District will
receive comprehensive eye exams onboard EyeLeen, OneSight's
state-of-the-art mobile vision center and optical lab. Local doctors,
technicians and teams from LensCrafters, EyeMed, glasses.com, Oakley,
Sunglass Hut, Target Optical and other community partners will
volunteer their services to support area children. The Clinic team
will manufacture the majority of prescriptions onsite working with
experts from the glasses.com lab in Salt Lake City which uses a
unique, advanced technique to make highly accurate lenses in less time
while being environmentally friendly. Students who visit the Vision
Van will immediately receive the quality glasses they need to see and
learn their best.

starting our business here in Draper," says John Graham, Senior Vice

proud to support OneSight's Vision Van Clinic in Salt Lake City as

children learn is visual, yet one out of four students has an
undiagnosed vision problem. "Children who see better, learn better and
OneSight provides quality eye exams and glasses to those who need it
most," said Lukas Ruecker, President of EyeMed Vision Care, presenting
sponsor of OneSight's 2014 Vision Van program. "We are deeply honored
to work with Salt Lake City schools and community partners to help
hundreds of underserved students see better and live a healthier
life."

serve students across 15 states including California, Colorado,
Florida, Indiana, Illinois, Louisiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri,
