CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) — The Panthers announced they've extended contract tenders to restricted free agent tackle Byron Bell and exclusive rights free agent guard Chris Scott, two starters from last year's team.

Carolina also said Monday it re-signed reserve fullback Richie Brockel to a two-year contract and backup offensive lineman Garry Williams to a one-year deal.

Financial terms were not released.

Bell started 14 games last season at right tackle, helping the Panthers to a 12-4 record and the NFC South championship. Scott joined Carolina in training camp and started eight games at guard due to injuries to other players.

Brockel played in 16 games seeing spot duty at fullback, tight end and on special teams.

Williams started the 2013 season opener at right guard but injured his knee and landed on injured reserve.
