UNDATED (AP) — Florida and Wichita State, the top two teams in last week's AP men's basketball poll, have retained the same positions in the new poll. The 29-2 Gators got 50 of the 65 first-place votes while the second-ranked Shockers, who are unbeaten in 34 games, received the remaining 15 from the media panel. Rounding out the top five are Villanova, Arizona and Louisville.

UNDATED (AP) — Connecticut remains the No. 1 team in the women's AP basketball poll. The Huskies have won all 33 of their games this season and have won 39 straight dating back to last season. Notre Dame remains No. 2 after finishing an undefeated regular season by winning the ACC tournament championship, with Louisville third, Tennessee fourth and West Virginia fifth.

CLEVELAND (AP) — Anthony Bennett of Cleveland, the overall No. 1 pick in last year's NBA draft, is expected to miss at least three weeks with a strained left knee. Bennett hasn't enjoyed much success in his rookie season, averaging only 4.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 13 minutes per game.

BOCA RATON, Fla. (AP) — The National Hockey League's general managers are meeting this week in Boca Raton, Fla. Among the topics on the agenda are changes in overtime and video review. In short, the GM's want to reduce the number of shootouts that decide regular-season games and revamp the replay system.

DETROIT (AP) — With the passing over the weekend of Detroit Lions owner William Clay Ford, the team has announced that his wife, Martha Ford, will take over his controlling interest in the team. The club says William Clay Ford Jr. remains in his role as vice chairman of the Lions.
