We can expect a lot more commercials from Chris Cannon and John Jacob in the near future.
Jeff Hartley: "Candidates often, as the election day nears, will dump more resources into media buys."
Utah Republican Party Executive Director Jeff Hartley says both candidates are spending more than normal for Utah's little-old third district. He says he never would have predicted this race would become a national barometer over immigration.
Jeff Hartley: "It's definately surprising to me that this primary is receiving the national attention that it is."
Jacob actually came out on top over the incumebnt Cannon in the convention. But Hartley says the convention voters and the primary voters are different crowds.
