PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Tyreek Duren scored 27 points as La Salle knocked off St. Joseph's 71-63 on Sunday.

St. Joe's (21-9, 11-5 Atlantic 10) led early, but La Salle (15-15, 7-9) used a 10-4 run — six points from Duren — to tie at 20, then ran off another five straight points and led 33-23 at the break.

St. Joe's scored the first seven points of the second, including a 3-pointer by DeAndre Bembry, to cut its deficit to three. La Salle responded with a 9-0 run of its own to push the lead to 12.

The Hawks had one more run in them, cutting it to five after a 8-0 run with 10:21 left, but the Explorers managed to keep St. Joe's at arm's length down the stretch.

Jerrell Wright added 17 points and 12 boards for La Salle.

Langston Galloway led St. Joe's with 27 points.
