KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia (AP) — Malaysia's transport minister says authorities are looking at footage of the two passengers who boarded a missing Malaysian Airlines jetliner with stolen passports, as they try to determine who they are.
At a news conference, he says intelligence officials are examining "visuals of these two people."
But he told reporters the focus now is finding the missing plane. He says that would make it easier for authorities to investigate whether it was brought down by foul play.
Meanwhile, Vietnamese authorities are trying to get a closer look at an object that might be a part of the aircraft. They've dispatched ships to check out an object that a search plane spotted in the waters off Vietnam. Officials want to see if it could be a door from the Boeing 777. It's in the same area as where two oil slicks were seen yesterday.
Authorities say an orange object seen in the area earlier turned out not to be from the aircraft.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 was carrying 239 people, including three Americans, when it vanished from radar while flying from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing.
