TAYLORSVILLE — Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying man who robbed a credit union in Taylorsville.
On March 7, the Unified Police Department received a robbery call from the Mountain America Credit Union at 2327 West 4700 South, said Lt. Justin Hoyal in a written statement.
The man entered the bank at about 5:45 p.m. and demanded cash from a teller. The teller complied and the man left the credit union with an undisclosed amount of cash, Hoyal said.
According to Hoyal, the man did not display or threaten anyone with a weapon. No one was injured in the incident.
The man was last seen fleeing on foot, and police do not know whether he has a vehicle.
The robber is described as a Caucasian man in his 50s with short white hair who is 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 160 pounds. He was wearing a blue windbreaker, blue jeans, a blue ball cap with orange writing and a surgical mask during the robbery, Hoyal said.
If you have any information about the man’s identity or his whereabouts, you are asked to call UPD at 385-468-9819. Police advise that you do not approach the man, as he is considered dangerous, Hoyal said.
