NORMAL, Ill. (AP) — Kelly Karlis scored 16 points on Saturday to lead Lombard Montini past Joliet Catholic Academy 57-44 for its fourth girls Class 3A championship in five years.
Lea Kerstein added 13 points and Kateri Stone scored 12 for the Lady Broncos (34-2).
Nicole Eckhomu led Joliet (28-3) with 14 points, while Jasmine Lumpkin added 12.
Lombard led 28-23 at the half and recorded its largest lead at 51-37 with 3:02 left in the game.
Lombard shot 50 percent from the field, making 17 of 34 shots. Joliet was 16 of 44 for 36 percent.
