ARCADIA, Calif. (AP) — Rhagori rallied from off the pace to win her U.S. debut by a neck in the $58,000 feature for older fillies at Santa Anita on Friday.
Ridden by Rafael Bejarano, Rhagori ran a mile on the turf in 1:35.45 and paid $4.80, $2.80 and $2.20 as the 7-5 favorite.
Rhagori had won multiple minor stakes races in England before coming to the U.S. She had been idle since Oct. 31.
Miss Well Molded returned $2.60 and $2.40, while Lilbourne Eliza was another 2 lengths back in third and paid $2.60 to show.
The victory, worth $34,800, increased Rhagori's career earnings to $73,682, with five wins in 15 starts.
