FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Will Davis II scored 16 points as UC Irvine defeated Cal State Fullerton 62-44 Thursday night, guaranteeing the Anteaters at least a share of the Big West Conference regular-season title, their first in 12 years.

UC Irvine (21-10, 12-3) had an early boost, leading 21-12 with 7:10 left in the first half and going ahead by 13 points at the break. The Anteaters opened the second half on a 7-2 run to push their lead to 18, and never trailed in the contest.

Davis scored 12 of his 16 points in the first half and shot 8 of 9 from the floor. The Anteaters are first in the Big West and face off against UC Davis to close out the regular season on Saturday.

Alex Harris led the Titans (11-18, 6-9) with 17 points. Despite the loss, Fullerton had already clinched a spot in the Big West tournament last week.
