NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Angelo Warner scored 23 points and Kareem Storey added a career-high 17 as fourth-seeded Morehead State defeated fifth-seeded Tennessee Tech 76-71 on Thursday night to advance to the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Conference tournament.

Billy Reader added 10 points for the Eagles (20-12), who will play No. 1 seed Belmont Friday in the semifinals.

Morehead State opened up the second half with an 18-5 run that gave it a 49-31 lead over the Golden Eagles (17-16) with 14:53 to go. The lead stayed in double figures the rest of the way.

The Eagles, who led virtually the entire game, had a 13-0 run early in the first half, which ended with Morehead State leading 31-26.

Josiah Moore led the Golden Eagles with 18 points with Dwan Caldwell adding 13 and Jeremiah Samarrippas adding 10 points.

Morehead State scored 23 points off 22 Tennessee Tech turnovers, including 14 steals.
