LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) — Whether it's a player posing with a reptile or a backup catcher donning a women's swimsuit next to Kate Upton, the Detroit Tigers certainly look like the class of the American League when it comes to viral photos.
The three-time AL Central champions are laughing their way toward opening day, approaching spring camp with a mix of relaxed lightheartedness and serious focus. The Tigers had fun under Jim Leyland, too, but new manager Brad Ausmus seems to place a premium on clubhouse camaraderie.
Torii Hunter tweeted a link of himself puckering up to an alligator. That was a couple days after reliever Joba Chamberlain's Twitter followers were treated to a shot of catcher Bryan Holaday modeling a women's swimsuit — next to a more conventionally dressed Upton.
