ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — The Washington Capitals have recalled forward Chris Brown from Hershey of the AHL, two days after they acquired him in a trade with the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Capitals also re-assigned goaltender Philipp Grubauer to Hershey on Thursday.

Grubauer was recalled Wednesday after backup goalie Michal Neuvirth was shipped to the Buffalo Sabres for Jaroslav Halak. Grubauer played in relief in Wednesday night's 6-4 loss to the Philadelphia Flyers.

The 23-year-old Brown played in six games with the Coyotes this season.
