LAS VEGAS (AP) — Floyd Mayweather revealed on Twitter that his May 3 fight against WBA welterweight champion Marcos Maidana will take place at the MGM Grand.
"I will be fighting at the best place on Earth on May 3rd ... the MGM Grand," Mayweather, the WBC welterweight champion, tweeted Wednesday.
The bout will unify their 147-pound titles.
Mayweather, 45-0 with 26 knockouts, is coming off victories last year over Robert Guerrero and Canelo Alvarez. Maidana, from Argentina, is 35-3 with 31 knockouts. He unanimously outpointed Adrien Broner on Dec. 14.
