UNDATED (AP) — Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner has been reinstated by the NFL following his suspension in December for violating the league's policy on substance abuse. Browner's contract with the Seahawks expires March 11, and he will be eligible to sign with a club and participate in offseason and preseason activities.

DETROIT (AP) — The Nashville Predators have traded away their first draft pick, sending forward David Legwand to Detroit for Patrick Eaves, a prospect and a third-round draft pick. The 34-year old Legwand was the expansion Predators' first pick in the 1998 draft as the No. 2 overall selection. He was tied with captain Shea Weber for the team scoring lead with 40 points.

UNDATED (AP) —The two highest ranked schools in action tonight in men's basketball are Arizona and Duke. The third-ranked Wildcats, who clinched the Pac 12 title Sunday night, are on the road at Oregon State, while fourth-ranked Duke is at Wake Forest.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) —The Buffalo Bills are putting on hold the plan of playing a game a season in Toronto. After going 1-5 in the last six years the Bills have announced a postponement of the game for at least a year. The Bills have also announced the signing of safety Aaron Williams to a four-year contract extension.

INDIAN WELLS, Calif. (AP) — Vera Zvonareva (zvahn-uh-RAY'-vuh) lost to China's Shuai Peng in the first round of the BNP Paribas Open this afternoon. The 4-6, 6-love, 7-5 loss dropped the Russian to 1-3 this season.
