Feil was brought in as a consultant in 1995, and came on board in a full-time capacity in 2010 as director of software engineering - news systems technology.
He designed and built several bespoke applications that improved the productivity of numerous departments, ranging from sales/client services, to editorial/newsroom operations, to accounts receivable. "My focus will be on maintaining the performance and reliability of our applications, and to facilitate communication between our various technical teams, and our diverse user base," said Feil.
"Marty brings many years of experience and historical perspective to his new position," said Messick, in announcing the appointment. "His knowledge and background will help position Business Wire to meet the challenges of the future, and keep it at the technological forefront of the newswire industry."
Outside the office, Feil enjoys gourmet cooking, backpacking, basketball, golf and tennis. A graduate of Chapman University, Feil and his wife, Paula, have a son and daughter.
