KENT, Ohio (AP) — Will Felder scored 26 points and Miami (Ohio) used a big first half to take down Kent State 73-61 on Tuesday.

Miami (12-16, 8-9 Mid-American Conference) led 45-25 at half, hitting all seven 3-point attempts and shooting 63 percent from the field. Felder led the RedHawks with 15 first-half points.

Miami led by as many as 24 before Kent State (16-14, 7-10) put together a second-half run. Trailing 57-33, the Golden Flashes used an 18-2 run to come within 59-51. But the RedHawks responded with an 11-4 run to go up 70-55, and held a double-digit lead the rest of the way.

Felder's point total tied a career high at Miami. He also pulled down nine rebounds. Willie Moore added 14 points and Will Sullivan had 13.

Devareaux Manley led Kent State with 12 points. K.K. Simmons and Mark Henniger added 11 points apiece.
