CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Blackhawks have acquired defensemen David Rundblad and Mathieu Brisebois in a trade with the Phoenix Coyotes.
Rundblad has one assist in 12 games with the Coyotes this season. The 21-year-old Brisebois was assigned to Rockford of the American Hockey League.
The defending Stanley Cup champions parted with a second-round selection in this year's draft to complete Tuesday's trade.
The 23-year-old Rundblad made his NHL debut in 2011 with Ottawa. He has one goal and eight assists in 50 career games with the Senators and Coyotes.
Rundblad was selected by St. Louis with the 17th overall pick of the 2009 draft.
