SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - Authorities say five snowmobilers who went missing in northern Wyoming's Bighorn Mountains have been found safe.

Lt. Mark Conrad with the Sheridan County Sheriff's Office says the group was found near Horse Creek Mesa just after 1 p.m. Saturday. The Sheridan Press reports ( http://bit.ly/1nUDyS5) that they ran out of gas.

They would not require medical attention, the newspaper reported.

More than 50 people had been taking shifts in wintry conditions searching for the group, which was reported missing early Friday by the owner of the Bear Lodge Resort. The snowmobilers were last seen at about 3:30 p.m. Thursday.

Conrad has said all five are from North Dakota and are considered experienced. They also are familiar with the Bighorns.
