Zions Bank robbed in Cottonwood Heights; police ask for public's help

COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS — Police are on the hunt for a man who robbed a Zions Bank Saturday morning and are asking for the public's help to identify the robber.

Around 9:45 a.m. Saturday, a man entered the Zions Bank at 7015 S. Highland Drive and demanded cash from a teller. The Cottonwood Heights Police Department is releasing pictures from the surveillance video with the hope that someone can identify the robber.

He is described as 5-foot-10, slim build with straggly blond hair, and police said he might have a possible swollen or black left eye. He was wearing a bright orange jacket, green pants, a gray beanie and a scarf.

Anyone with information on this crime or who recognizes the man in the photo is asked to call the Cottonwood Heights Police Department at 801-944-7100. People can also submit anonymous tips through their online tip page.
