HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. (AP) - Authorities say they've arrested a Long Island police officer who's accused of targeting Hispanic motorists and stealing cash from them during traffic stops.
Suffolk County Police Sgt. Scott A. Greene pleaded not guilty Friday to charges of petty larceny and official misconduct.
District Attorney Thomas Spota said Greene was arrested Thursday night in Coram during a sting operation.
Greene's attorney did not immediately respond to a message requesting comment.
