Chris Kaye Reporting It took over 60-years, but a Tooele man finally graduated from high school.
In 1943, James Young decided to skip his senior year at Tooele High School to enlist in the Army.
"Uncle Sam was on all those posters pointing his finger, so me and my best friend decided to go in the Army."
He returned home after the war, but didn't get his diploma until last week.
"This is the worst walk than the walk to the shore on Utah Beach. But it was great, I was happy, but I never thought I would get it."
Young served as a combat engineer in general Patton's third army and even met the general on several occasions.
