PLAIN CITY — Investigators believe the same gunmen may be responsible for two armed robberies in Weber County Thursday morning.

The first robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. at the Maverik store at 4098 W. 1975 North in Plain City.

Two men entered the store, confronted the clerk at gun point, and forced him to open the till, according to the Weber County Sheriff's Office. The robbers then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The second robbery was reported around 4:45 a.m. at the McDonald's at 1838 W. 2700 North in Farr West.

The robbers entered the establishment wearing dark-colored clothing and ski masks. One of them pointed a gun at an employee while the other took money from the till.

The robbers fled on foot and possibly got into a get-away car parked behind a nearby business.

No injuries were reported at either location.

Both suspects were described as Caucasian, 22-28 years old, and approximately 6 feet tall. One had a medium build, wore a black hoodie, black pants, with a black bandanna covering his face.

The other robber had a larger build, wore a black hoodie, blue jeans, gray, white and blue tennis shoes, with a green bandanna covering his face.

Anyone with information on either robbery can called the sheriff's office at 801-629-8221.
