WEST JORDAN — After leaving her middle school with an unidentified male, a 14-year-old girl is the focus of a search by West Jordan Police Department.

Mia Garcia, a Hispanic girl, was last seen leaving Joel P. Jensen Middle School at 3 p.m. Friday. She got into a car with an unidentified Hispanic male, who is estimated to be between 17 and 20 years old, police said.

Mia did not pack any clothing, has not contacted family or friends, and all means of contact have been severed, West Jordan Police Department said in a press release. Police are considering her possibly endangered.

Police believe Mia may have traveled with the male toward California, as police believes he is from there.

Anyone with information about Mia is asked to call the West Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000 in reference to case number 13H017188.
