BERLIN (AP) - Volkswagen has issued a global recall for 800,000 of its Tiguan models to replace a problematic fuse that can cause the cars' lights to fail.
The German automaker said Thursday the replacement should only take minutes and concerns vehicles built between the start of 2008 and the middle of 2011.
The Wolfsburg-based company is also launching a voluntary recall of Tiguan models with seven-speed dual-clutch gearboxes.
VW says these cars can suffer electric malfunctions in hot, humid climates if synthetic gearbox oil is used.
