SALT LAKE CITY — This week we saw some great performances from some of the local athletes, but it was the running backs from both schools that got things done. The KSL Sports team has voted and they've selected running back Joey DeMartino as this week's Player of the Week.

Player of the Week:

Joey DeMartino, RB, Utah State

Joey DeMartino, the senior running back had his first 100 yard game as an Aggie and scored a career high three touchdowns helping the Aggies put up 70 points in the their victory over Weber State.

Honorable mention

James Poole, RB, Utah

The all purpose back got his first start and made it count. Poole rushed for over 100 yards and a touchdown, while adding another 70 yards in receptions. It's safe to say the Utes have found their running back.

Contributing: Robert Jackson (Utah) and Matt Glade (Utah State)
