MIDVALE — A Midvale man was arrested after police say he threatened a neighborhood teen with an ax.

The teenager was driving home along Fox Bridge Drive in Midvale when his neighbor, Phelan Silas, confronted the teen. According to police, Silas was upset by how the teen was driving.

The argument began with yelling, but it intensified to the point where police say the suspect went home, grabbed an ax and came back.

According to Unified police Lt. Justin Hoyal, that is when witnesses jumped in to stop the fight. But not before the teen sustained some minor injuries to his hand.

Hoyal said that the teenager was lucky the ax only caused minor injuries. Silas was booked in jail for aggravated assault.
