PROVO — Over a couple of plates of BBQ, rice and beans, Jason Shepherd and I were sitting across from each other on Wednesday night trying to convince ourselves to show up to the annual team photo day at BYU.
We needed some motivation since photo day is usually uneventful and can be a little boring.
We figured we'd grind it out and show up anyway. We were rewarded with the biggest story of fall camp when Bronco Mendenhall surprised the team with their Spirit, Tradition and Honor jerseys.
That stole the show, but one of the hidden gems that got lost in Jersey-gate was some fun freestyle rapping from running backs Jamaal Williams, Michael Alisa, Adam Hine and tight end Richard Wilson as they waited to get their pictures taken.
Enjoy.
