This is Fred Ball for Zions Bank, speaking on business.
Stress is a constant and daily part of most people's lives. It seems many of us run around in a constant state of alert, just waiting for the next emergency. Almost nothing can combat this as effectively as being pampered. It's nice to let someone else take care of you for a few hours and soothe away your cares and concerns.
Teri Siler agrees. After 23 years in the cosmetology business, Teri decided she wanted to provide her clients with something more than hair cuts so she went back to school and got her master aesthetician's license. Shortly after, she used her newly-learned skills to open Serenity Day Spa in West Jordan.
Serenity Day Spa offers a plethora of services for its clients including hair cuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, body wraps, massage and permanent cosmetics. Teri tells me the spa offers a unique hair removal method called sugaring, which is a little easier on the skin than traditional waxing hair removal.
Pedicures, facials and massage are all in-demand services, but colored acrylic nails, coordinated to the nearest holiday, tend to be popular as well. About four times a year clients can choose from several special types of pedicures, including cucumber or peppermint, which have also been warmly received.
Teri says the location on the west side of the valley is prime because there aren't many spas in the area. She enjoys being able to run Serenity her way and talking with clients to discover ideas for new services or ways to improve current services. Staff input has also been valuable in finding ways to think outside the box.
Teri and her staff try to give Serenity Day Spa a relaxing atmosphere and offer high-quality services at affordable and competitive prices. She is constantly on the lookout for new products and services to incorporate into the business.
For Zions Bank, I'm Fred Ball. I'm speaking on business.
