UTAH STATE PRISON (AP) -- The man involved in the hit-and-run death of a Hunter High School student last year may get out of prison as early as 2010.

The Board of Pardons and Parole scheduled a parole hearing for 21-year-old Jeremy Ryan Reed on November 2010.

Back in February, Reed pleaded guilty to second-degree automobile homicide and was sentenced to serve up to 15 years in prison.

Authorities say Reed hit and killed 15-year-old Gregorio Rodriguez Junior last August. They say Rodriquez was talking to friends near Hunter High School when Reed ran him over.

Officers say Reed was driving drunk when the crash occurred.
