(KSL News) According to police, Justin Daniel Goodwin went to the home of his estranged wife on Dec. 22, beat her, and then held a gun to her head in front of the couple's 2-year-old child. He then gave his wife the gun and asked her to shoot him.
The Deseret Morning News reports that police became aware of the incident when the woman filed for a temporary protective order. Goodwin was arrested and now faces several charges, including attempted murder.
He will make an initial appearance in court on Monday.
