Home game times announced for 2013 Weber State football season

OGDEN, Utah -- Weber State has announced home game kickoff times for the 2013 Wildcat football season. Head coach Jody Sears returns for his second season with the Wildcats and will lead the ‘Cats in five home games at Stewart Stadium this season. In addition start times for nearly all road games have also been announced.

The Wildcats will kickoff the 2013 season with a home game on Aug. 31 against Stephen F. Austin. That game will begin at 6:00 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. It will be the first ever meeting between the Wildcats and Lumberjacks. Stephen F. Austin is an FCS school from the Southland Conference.

WSU's next home game will be the Big Sky opener when the ‘Cats host Sacramento State at 6:00 p.m. at Stewart Stadium. That game will also be the annual Homecoming game at Weber State.

On Oct. 19 Weber State will host Montana State at Stewart Stadium in a game that will be televised on ROOT Sports, the TV home of the Big Sky Conference. The game with the Bobcats will begin at 5:00 p.m.

WSU's last two home games will be Nov. 9 against Southern Utah and Nov. 23 against Idaho State. Both of those games will begin at 1:00 p.m.

Weber State's first road game of the season will be at the University of Utah on Sept. 7, the first of three straight road games. The game with the Utes will begin at noon and be televised nationally on the Pac-12 Network.

The following week, Sept. 14, the Wildcats will travel to Logan to take on Utah State in a game that will start at 6:00 p.m. The next week the ‘Cats will head to Lake Charles, La., to take on McNeese State in a game that will begin at 7:00 p.m. Central time (6:00 p.m. Mountain).

WSU's first conference road game will be Oct. 5 at Eastern Washington. The kickoff time for that game in Cheney, Wash., has not been announced yet. The next week, Oct. 12, the ‘Cats will play at Cal Poly at 6:00 p.m. Pacific time (7:00 p.m. Mountain).

Weber State will also play at Portland State on Nov. 2 in a 1:00 p.m. Pacific (2:00 p.m. Mountain) kickoff and will play at Montana on Nov. 16 at noon in Missoula.
