The Weber State football team will conclude spring practice with the annual Purple and White Spring game this Saturday, April 13 at Stewart Stadium.

The spring game will be an approximately 45-play scrimmage and will begin at 6:00 p.m. The white team will be on offense with the purple team on defense.

Prior to Saturday's scrimmage the Weber State Wildcat Club will host a Chalk Talk beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the west bleachers of Stewart Stadium. Wildcat head coach Jody Sears will introduce his coaching staff and talk about spring practice.

A kids play area with inflatables will be open to fans during the game and players and coaches will sign autographs after the game. Merchandise and concessions will also be available.

Also on Saturday Weber State will host the Wildcat Outdoor Open track meet from 11:00-3:30 at Stewart Stadium. The WSU men's tennis team will host North Dakota at 10:00 a.m. and the women's tennis team will host North Dakota at 2:00 p.m. at the Edmond Tennis Courts. Admission is free to all of Saturday's events.

Sears is gearing up for his second season as head coach of the Wildcats. Earlier this year Sears announced the hiring of Robin Pflugrad as the new offensive coordinator for the Wildcats. Steve Morton has been elevated to Associate Head Coach and Eric Lewis takes the reins as defensive coordinator.

The 2013 Wildcat football season begins Aug. 31 when the ‘Cats host Stephen F. Austin. WSU will then hit the road for three games at Utah, Utah State and McNeese State before starting Big Sky Conference action with the Homecoming game against Sacramento State on Sept. 28.
