Marc Giauque reportingLori Hacking's legacy will be honored today at the University Of Utah. The first recipient of a scholarship in Hacking's name will graduate.
Linda Hines will receive her degree in Marketing. The woman, who came to the U.S. from Vietnam at a very young age, is also a young widow.
Lori Hacking's mother, Thelma Soares, says more students are lined up now for the scholarship later this year.
Thelma Soares: "There's enough money in the scholarship fund now that were actually able to award two scholarships...choose two more recipients to begin this fall."
Lori Hacking was shot and killed by her husband two years ago. Hacking was a graduate of the U's Business School.
