The Salt Lake Bees banged out thirteen hits, including a season high six doubles, as they rolled past the Las Vegas 51s 9-5 on Tuesday night. The Bees held a 3-2 lead when they erupted for six runs in the sixth to break the game open, as four of those six two base hits came in that big inning. Nick Gorneault and Mike Napoli would open the inning with back-to-back doubles to make it 4-2 and Napoli would come home on a double by Ryan Budde. Reggie Willits would add a two run single, Tommy Murphy chipped in a run scoring single and Kendry Morales capped it off with an RBI double.
Joe Saunders (3-1) earned the win by allowing just two runs, one unearned, on seven hits in six innings of work. Murphy, Morales, Gorneault, Brian Specht and Adam Pavkovich each had two hits for the Bees, while Willits and Morales each drove in two run, as Salt Lake picks up its third straight win.
