(NBC News) -- Many shoppers complain that their grocery bills keep getting higher and higher. But some shoppers have found a way to save far beyond -- what they ever imagined possible.
Mark Koebrich takes a look at two internet shopping services that can cut your grocery bills by as much as 60%.
Do you buy one-get one free? Do you love the "weekly special? Do you "save with your card?" And how do you feel about 2-for-5 or 8-for-8? Meet two women who love all of those things---but for whom such puny Savings-- are child's play.
Andrea Kalli, Shops “thegrocerygame.com”: "I save four-five-six hundred dollars every single month-- and it's much better and much easier than a part time job."
Christine Ives, Shops "cutouthunger.org": "I would say we spend less than 400-dollars month on groceries."
Watching their totals evaporate -- from hundreds of dollars at a time -- to what they actually pay.
Andrea Kalli, Shops “thegrocerygame.com”: "I ended up spending 32.70."
Is one of life's great pleasures. All thanks to Internet lists that show all the specials -- advertised and in-store. Andrea uses thegrocerygame.com, a list that costs her a dollar a week.
Andrea Kalli, Shops "thegrocerygame.com": "A lot of people say, "Oh this has got to be too good to be true. I'm sure it's a lot more work than they say it is. The savings are probably not as good as they say. I have to be honest with you, this has been the best thing I've ever done for my family."
Christine shops cutouthunger.com -- a list that's free.
Christine Ives, Shops "cutouthunger.org":"I will save 50% or more on most of my trips."
And you need to know that King Soopers is a key player for shoppers on either list.
Andrea Kalli, Shops "thegrocerygame.com": "Yes--they'll double you're coupon up to a dollar -- so if you have a 75-cent coupon -- it will be a dollar -- if you have a 50-cent coupon it will be a dollar -- if you have a 35-cent coupon it will be 70-cents."
Another big player in both strategies -- is the wealth of coupons in the Sunday paper.
Christine Ives, Shops "cutouthunger.org": "If you see that the coupons are going to be for a lot of things that you're going to use-- you buy five Sunday papers because for five dollars-- you will get five different sets of each of the coupon inserts."
The list from cutouthunger also helps a busy mother of three get Organized.
Christine Ives, Shops "cutouthunger.org":"Because I can see what's on sale-- I can see what the coupons are for-- and because King Soopers doubles-- it really does add up."
Adds up to "significant" savings.
Andrea Kalli, Shops "thegrocerygame.com" "It's really great to hear all the wonderful things people are doing-- some are vacations-- some are car payments-- I myself-- I'm putting me thru school."
Christine Ives, Shops "cutouthunger.org": "I'm enjoying the privilege of being able to stay home with my babies."
All the result of about 90-minutes of their time on a Sunday morning.
Both women save almost as much as they were making in part time jobs -- so they quit.
They also say big savings comes in being able to stock-pile the sale items.
Both shoppers say once you have a stock-pile of the foods you usually eat-- all purchased with coupons- you rarely spend more than 40-dollars a week at the grocery.
