(KSL News) -- Ford announced a recall of 145 thousand vehicles.
A defect in the side latches of certain models prompted the recall. The defect causes the side doors to open in freezing weather.
The recall involves 2005 Ford 500 and Montego Sedans, as well as the 2005-2006 model Freestyle minivans.
Ford also found a problem with the drivetrain shaft on the 2006 Escape Hybrid S-U-Vs.
Owners can take the vehicles to the dealer for repairs.
