Paul Nelson, KSL NewsradioThe new year is approaching, and people are making their list of resolutions for 2008. How well did you keep your resolutions for 2007?

When it comes to keeping your New Year's resolutions, we sometimes get more advice than we can handle. Some of us did well in keeping them in 2007.

One man said, "There was only one goal I kept all year long and that was a commitment to read every day."

Others say they will do better in 2008. One woman said she resolved, "The usual 'lose weight' one. I'm just going to do it."

Some of the resolutions may seem familiar. One woman said she plans to, "Get organized, lose weight, exercise more and eat better."

Others seem a bit bizarre.

Another woman said, "My New Year's resolution for 2007 was not to have any more surgeries, and I had two this year." She later mentioned that was a "joke" resolution.

However, some people are content to resolve not to make any resolutions. This man says that philosophy works for him.

I asked him, "Same plan for this year?" He said, "Yep, same plan." That man will never be disappointed.
