Police arrest couple accused of stealing snowblowers

WEST BOUNTIFUL — Two people were arrested after multiple snowblower thefts pointed police to the couple.

According to West Bountiful police their department had been investigating the thefts since mid-December. On Jan. 8, a resident reported another snowblower theft and police located that machine at a pawn shop in Roy.

Police identified RiAnn Sevy and Joshua Dyle, who live together in West Bountiful, as suspects in the theft.

Later, investigations showed that the couple had pawned many items, including several snowblowers. In addition to the stolen machines, they are accused of pawning jewelry, power tools and electronics. Police say those items are connected to multiple cases in Bountiful.

Police searched Sevy and Dyle's residence after serving a search warrant.

The couple were booking into the Davis County on suspicion of burglary, theft, theft by receiving, possession of paraphernalia and possession of heroin, according to police.
