Many factors influence ice conditions, and anglers should remember that ice conditions are not uniform around any lake. Some areas may have plenty of ice, while others have very little.
Ice Strength is influenced by many factors including age, distance from shore, river outlets and inlets, obstructions like rocks, trees or bridges and even snow can insulate ice making it unsafe to walk on.
