DECATUR, Ill., Apr 28, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Archer Daniels Midland Co., one of the world's largest agricultural processors, has named Patricia A. Woertz as its chief executive officer.
Woertz, who also becomes president, succeeds G. Allen Andreas, who remains as board chairman, ADM said Friday.
Woertz, 53, most recently was executive vice president of Chevron Corp., in charge of the oil company's refining, marketing, lubricant, supply and trading businesses in 180 countries, with more than $100 billion in annual revenues and a global workforce of 30,000.
A certified public accountant, Woertz has been in the oil business since 1977, either for the former Gulf Oil or Chevron.
