(KSL News) We've already told you about how holiday spending is down across the country. Well, a Dan Jones Poll for KSL-TV shows Utah is also a part of that trend.

Do you expect to spend more or less this year on holiday shopping?

10% Definitely more
33% About the same
30% Definitely less

Margin of error = +/- 5 percent

When asked if they expect to spend more or less on holiday gifts this year, 10 percent of Utahns answered they'd spend more; 33 percent said about the same as last year.

But 30 percent said they'd definitely be spending less.

Where do you plan on doing most of your holiday shopping?

25% The mall
24% Big box stores
14% Smaller neighborhood stores

Margin of error= +/- 5 percent

When asked where most people do their holiday shopping, 25 percent said the mall, 24 percent said at big box stores. Only 14 percent said they plan to shop at small neighborhood stores.
