Randall Jeppesen reporting Friends of a 92-year-old woman are grieving today after she was hit and killed while walking home from church last night.
On one side of the street the Alpine Police and Fire Department, on the other side the home of 92-year-old Iris Bullock. She was crossing here in the crosswalk when she was hit and killed Sunday night.
"She's really nice. She's always helping other people. She's a good neighbor. My kids loved her and talked to her all the time," Natalie Davies said.
Davies lives next to Bullock and was home when the crash happened. "We thought she'd live a lot longer, thought she'd die in her sleep, that she wouldn't get hit by a car and die that way," she said.
Police say they're still investigating to see if any charges might be filed.
