(KSL News) A Taylorsville man has been charged with homicide for causing an accident that killed his friend.

Police say last August, Rustyn James Powell was drunk when he lost control of his car, causing the vehicle to crash into the median.

A passenger in the car, Matthew Langley, was ejected and died.

Powell is now charged with automobile homicide and is being held in the Salt Lake County Jail on $150,000 bond.
