OGDEN — Two Ogden families are out of their homes after fire destroyed an apartment building.
The Ogden City Fire Department says the fire started around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday on Liberty Avenue.
The old wooden house had been converted intio four apartments. Two of those were occupied, but all seven people inside made it out safely before emergency crews arrived. Three residents were treated at the scene for minor smoke inhalation.
When firefighters arrived, the rear of the structure was fully engulfed in flames, which quickly spread to the upstairs and roof.
Once the fire was doused, damage was estimated at $100,000.
