Heartfelt testimonies from missionaries can help focus our thoughts on the Savior as we prepare for Christmas.

In the Wilsonville, Oregon Ward they have a long-standing tradition of devoting the sacrament meeting program on the Sunday before Christmas to reading letters from the full-time missionaries serving from the ward.

The bishopric requests the letters from the missionaries and ask that in those letters they bear their testimony of the Savior.

On the Sunday before Christmas, members from the congregation with a tie to the elder or sister read their respective letters, while a pianist plays Christmas music in the background.

Jim Parham, bishop of the Wilsonville ward, says it's one of the most popular sacrament meeting programs of the year and with each missionary bearing fervent testimony of the Savior, it's a great way to celebrate Christmas.
